Restricted Motorcycle Licence (6R)

Your restricted licence assessment has a 90 minute duration, 60 minutes of road riding covering both town and highway situations. You will be supplied with a two-way communication system fitted to your helmet and followed by the instructor for this assessment. Only guidance on directions can be provided by the instructor.

If you are confident that you can pass a detailed assessment of your safe riding skills in both town and higher speed conditions, you can take the CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment.

Urban Training

Duration: 1.5 hours
Cost: $195.00

Training for 90 minutes on town and urban roads.

You will be shown safe riding techniques including positioning, observations, anticipation, scanning, hazard awareness and slow control.

Highway Training

Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $225.00

Training for 2 hours on highway and rural roads.

You will be shown safe riding techniques including positioning, observations, anticipation, scanning and hazard awareness.

Combined Course

Duration: Half Day
Cost: $525.00

This combines the Urban and Highway courses.

At the conclusion of training there will be a short break and then you will complete the CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment.
